Residents of a rural community in Kwara State have renewed calls for urgent government intervention as insecurity continues to affect their daily lives. PATIGI, KWARA STATE, NIGERIA — Residents of Lata Nna Community in Patigi Local Government Area have appealed directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene over what they described as worsening bandit attacks that have disrupted normal life across their area. Community members said the repeated attacks have displaced a large number of residents, affected farming activities, and created uncertainty about the future of the community.

According to accounts shared by residents, many families have abandoned their homes after several reported attacks by armed criminals operating around the community and nearby settlements.
