Fresh Documents Reveal Government Offices Allegedly Linked to Controversial Presidential Agency.

By DocuNews Central
Fresh revelations have emerged in the growing controversy surrounding an alleged controversial presidential agency, with newly surfaced documents reportedly linking several top government offices and federal agencies to the matter.
The latest development has intensified public interest in the case, as questions continue to mount over how multiple government institutions allegedly interacted with an organization that the Presidency has maintained was not legally established.
According to reports reviewed by DocuNews Central, the agencies and offices allegedly connected to the controversy include the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Budget Office of the Federation, the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), and the Department of State Services (DSS).
The controversy centers on an alleged presidential council that authorities have described as non-existent, despite claims that official-looking documents, correspondence and interactions suggested recognition by several public institutions. The situation has sparked widespread debate over whether administrative lapses, document forgery or institutional failures may have contributed to the incident.
Reports indicate that several of the listed offices reportedly became aware of the alleged irregularities as far back as late 2025. However, the circumstances surrounding their involvement, responses and subsequent actions remain under intense public scrutiny.
The Presidency has consistently maintained that the agency in question was never lawfully created and has described its alleged operator as an impostor who used forged documents to present himself as the head of a presidential body. Officials insist that the Federal Government neither approved nor recognized the council as a legitimate institution.

The emergence of additional documents has nevertheless raised fresh questions regarding how communications linked to the alleged agency reportedly reached multiple ministries, departments and agencies without immediate detection.
Legal analysts say the investigation could determine whether government procedures were circumvented, whether forged documents were accepted by officials, or whether administrative weaknesses enabled the alleged scheme to continue for an extended period.
Anti-corruption observers have also urged investigators to establish the full chain of events, identify any officials who may have acted negligently, and determine whether criminal offences were committed.
Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation into the matter.
In a related development, police reportedly arrested the father of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the individual alleged to be at the center of the fake presidential agency controversy. Human rights lawyer Femi Falana questioned the legality of the arrest, arguing that there is no legal basis for arresting a relative when the suspect has reportedly indicated a willingness to appear before the court.
The case has generated significant reactions across Nigeria, with many citizens demanding greater transparency and accountability in the handling of official government documents and appointments.
Political commentators have also called for stronger verification mechanisms across federal institutions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
While investigations continue, no court has made a final determination regarding the allegations, and the claims remain subject to judicial review.
The Federal Government is expected to continue legal proceedings against individuals allegedly connected to the controversy, while investigators examine the authenticity of documents and communications linked to the purported presidential agency.
For now, the full extent of the alleged interactions between the controversial agency and various government institutions remains under investigation.
DocuNews Central will continue to monitor official statements, court proceedings and investigative developments as more information becomes available.
